Plaça de S’Era d’en Manyà is the subject for our fourth weekly photographic series in the face-lift of San Antonio which took place in the early 1990s.

This is a Square or Plaza where The Ship Inn can be found which is a very popular meeting place for the young at heart holidaymakers who arrive here on the island during the hot months of our hectic summer season.

Previously, it was once the hive of activity during the mornings throughout the whole year when it was the place where folk came and bought locally grown fresh flowers, fruit and vegetable at the tradition outside market of San Antonio.

This now gives me a further positive idea for when we eventually come to an end to this series of the face-lift we will then try to do our very best to bring and show you some old photographs of these places before any face-lift was ever thought about in San Antonio.
