After several visits have fallen in love with the place and giving serious thought to trying to make a life and a living on Ibiza. Inspired by Rick at the OK Corral - some talk about it, some just do it.Does anyone know any good websites with info about commercial properties available, ideally bars. Can find lots for Mallorca very few for Ibiza. Or is it all word of mouth between residents!

Your website is great! I have been trying to locate an old friend for many years. She is Austrailian, probably in her late 60\'s, her name is Jane Bickel Brown. She lived on Paros Island, Greece for a few years in 1971-1972. She has three daughters, Caty, Maya, and Cassandra. I know she loved Formentera very much and I wonder if anyone can tell me about her. I lived in Ibiza from Aug. 1968 until Oct. 1969 and would like to hear from any of the old gang who were there at the same time. I do remember Peter and Britt Ross, although they probably would not remeber me as I patronized the George and Dragon infrequently. I did, however, frequent the Isleno and La Taverna on a regular basis. I have been trying to contact Horst and Pam who owned the Bar Isleno at that time but with little success. Other people I have stayed in contact with are David Murray, former owner of La Taverna, Gus Schohaus, Danny (Quack) Evanishen and Gordon Bryant. I am trying to find: Uli Hundt, Henk Suk, Jan, Nadine Vander Straeten, Gill, Marianne, Swiss Ronnie and anyone else who was there in the late 60's

Was wondering if anyone can help I am trying to find a quiteish resorts in Ibiza. The idea is my boyfriend and I want to sample the crazy night life for a few nights then escape to somewhere a bit more tranquil. I have narrowed it down to Cala Tarida OR Cala Vadella due to the fact there not too far away from Ibiza town & San or the airport and seem a good middle ground, not too crazy but not dead either.Any one got any tips for which is best?ThanksAllison

Opened second Pub, The Lord Nelson in Figueretas 71.Finally left Ibiza after 19 wonderful years. To all those who are wanting to get married in Ibiza. I have done lots of research on this subject - we are getting married there in 2004. It is very difficult to get married there - one of you has to be Spanish or Roman Catholic or have a residence there. It is not like many holiday destinations where you can get a wedding package or just turn up and get married.
You can have a church ceremony there that is exactly like a wedding but to be legally married you need to have a civil ceremony in your home country first and take the certificate with you.
Luckily we have bought a holiday home there so we are doing the real thing but even that requires lots of visits back and forth months in advance.
It's not easy!
